Violation categories in the app

When you log a violation, you pick one category for filtering and reports — the four cards above are examples; the full set is:

  • OSHA — General OSHA program findings (general industry / construction context).
  • EPA — Environmental media rules (air, water, waste) when tied to EPA programs.
  • Fire — Fire protection, alarms, extinguishers, egress, and life safety.
  • Environmental — Spill prevention, containment, and site environmental controls.
  • Electrical — Wiring, panels, grounding, and electrical safe work practices.
  • Chemical — HazCom, storage, labeling, and chemical inventory risk.
  • Ergonomic — Lifting, stacking, reach, and musculoskeletal risk factors.
  • General — Catch-all when the best fit is program-specific narrative.

Compliance reporting

Once your data is in SafetyInspect, the Reports area lets you pull the same violation rows into audit-ready outputs:

  • Printable HTML — filter by location and date range, open in a new tab, then use Print → Save as PDF for a PDF file.
  • CSV — download rows with violation details and pipe-separated image URLs for evidence and clearance photos.
  • Location summary — table of inspections and open vs cleared counts per site.
